Eigen- and singular-value decompositions run on the calling thread. faer’s parallel Hessenberg and bidiagonal reductions split inner products by worker count, so their last bits, and the order of eigenvalues, would follow the budget. On four workers they gained at most 1.3× (eigenvalues) and 1.7× (singular values) at n = 768, and nothing below n = 384.
